How do I renew my license?
Let's face it, the FCC site is not very user friendly. I have found some different places that have documented the process.
How do I renew on the FCC site myself?
- The FCC has some instructions that should get you on the right path.
- HamStudy has excellent documentation of the process. This is an older document and does not mention the $35 renewal fee.
What if I don't want to mess with it?
There are a few options.
- CAVEC has a simple renewal process.
- ARRL Members can use the ARRL VEC.
- W5YI has a renewal service.
